"Mum took this photograph from the car when driving through California in 1975. I chose it for the exhibition because it is so funky and I love the light and colours and the spontaneous feel it has to it. It also encompasses one of the things that I admire most in her photography; the ability to recognise and then capture a fleeting moment before it is gone forever."
