"Tajul Islam is a seven-year-old boy I met in Bangladesh taking photographs for The Scotsman’s Sight Savers appeal. Born with cataracts in both eyes, I first met him at Sirajganj Eye Hospital, nervously waiting to see if surgery could restore his sight, his tiny eyes darting in different directions, unseeing. The next day, I was there when a doctor slowly peeled off the bandages from his left eye and he was able to see for the first time. It was a moment I will never forget...
