"Kadiatu Kamara and her family had to flee from eastern Freetown when the rebels burned down their house. Kadiatu, who is blind, was scraping a living begging when she learned about opportunities for gaining skills at Sierra Leone Association of the Blind (SLAB). Now she is learning to make soap so she can support her family. Kadiatu’s grand daughter Abie takes her to the training centre before school then picks her up again on the way back. Soon they hope to return home."
